We offer a number of different types of braces for children, teens and adults looking to achieve a beautiful, healthy smile!
Each of our patients is unique, so we don’t expect one treatment option to suit everyone. When Dr. Wiewiora or Dr. Dunn creates your treatment plan, it’ll be 100% personalized to you, your needs and your preferences.
At your complimentary first visit to one of our offices in Lake Mary or Longwood, your orthodontist will examine your condition and discuss your treatment preferences to help you make the best decision for you or your child’s smile.
Each type of braces we offer (gold braces, silver braces and ceramic braces) are high-quality American Orthodontics with twin brackets!
Traditional Silver Braces
Traditional silver or metal braces use bracket-and-wire technology to straighten the teeth and align the jaw bones. These braces are made of high-grade stainless steel and are specially designed for comfort and durability!
Our experienced orthodontists can treat most conditions with silver braces. Treatment with these braces may last anywhere from 12 to 24 months. Depending on your specific condition, treatment may last longer or shorter than average.
With traditional braces, you can customize your braces colors to match your style! Whether you prefer a funky rainbow style or a sleek monochromatic style, you get full creative freedom every time we replace your rubber bands.
Gold braces are also made out of high-quality stainless steel, but these braces are coated in 24 karat gold! Gold braces function the same as traditional braces, they just offer a gold look over a silver look.
Our orthodontist can treat almost any condition with gold braces, and treatment generally lasts anywhere from 12 to 24 months.
Ceramic Clear Braces
Clear ceramic braces are ideal for patients who want traditional braces, but prefer a more discreet option. These braces are made of durable ceramic materials that blend in with the natural color of the teeth.
Using ceramic brackets and transparent rubber bands, ceramic braces can be virtually undetectable when you’re laughing, smiling or speaking!
Because they function the same as traditional braces, ceramic braces can be used to treat almost any condition. Ceramic braces may take anywhere from 18 to 36 months to straighten the teeth and align the jaw bones.
Invisalign® Clear Aligners
Our experienced orthodontists are proud to offer Invisalign First for kids, Invisalign for teens and Invisalign for adults!
No matter your age, we can treat you with Invisalign clear aligners. We offer comprehensive Invisalign treatment, moderate treatment, lite treatment and express treatment.
Comprehensive Invisalign Treatment includes a full treatment of Invisalign on the top teeth and bottom teeth. Comprehensive treatment comes with an unlimited number of aligners and is best suited for moderate to severe cases. This treatment typically lasts anywhere from 12 to 24 months.
Moderate Invisalign Treatment is one step below the Comprehensive treatment. Invisalign Moderate works as a 20-stage treatment with up to 20 sets of aligners. (It comes with additional aligners if necessary.) The Moderate treatment is most effective for cases of mild to moderate severity and can take anywhere from 5 to 12 months to complete.
Lite Invisalign Treatment uses about 14 sets of aligners and is best suited for mild to moderate cases. For patients who have mild crookedness or moderately crowded teeth, Invisalign Lite may be the most effective option. This treatment can last anywhere from 6 to 12 months.
Express Invisalign Treatment includes around 7 sets of aligners and is most effective for correcting orthodontic relapse (teeth shifting back to their pre-treatment position due to not wearing a retainer after treatment) and minor esthetic misalignments. Treatment with Invisalign Express can last anywhere from 3 to 6 months.
During your complimentary exam, your orthodontist will help you determine which treatment is best for your case!
